What happens at an Open Day?

Open days are the ideal way to explore Escape Studios if you’re looking to study with us.

Our open days begin with an introductory welcome talk which consists of a brief overview of Escape Studios. Here, you’ll gain an insight into our impressive range of industry partners and talent development opportunities.

You'll then have the chance to attend a subject talk with our tutors where you’ll discover the details of your future degree whether that’s in Animation, Games or Visual Effects. These talks provide a deeper insight into our course offerings and what modules you could study.

After this, we run Q&A panels with Escapees and Student Ambassadors. This is where you'll get to ask all your questions about student life and what it's really like to study with us.

Throughout the day, you'll also get the opportunity to go on a campus tour, see live demonstrations of our studio equipment and examples of student work. You’ll even get some top tips for submitting an application!

What happens at a Taster Day?

Our taster days are a perfect introduction to the software and skills taught on our degrees.

The day kicks off with a welcome talk about Escape Studios where you’ll get to hear more about studying with us. Then you’ll get split into groups where you’ll rotate around different workshops with our tutors.

During this, you’ll get to experience a seminar class just like you would if you were a student with us. You’ll also get to explore the software we use (such as Maya and Unreal Engine) and create your own work that you can take home and use in your creative portfolio.

If you opt for the on-campus option, you will get the chance to tour our Central London campus as well as hear from Studio Assistants and Student Ambassadors who will be around to support you throughout the day.
