At Pearson College London we are a very close community with plenty of support on hand to help one-another. Read on to find out more about our methods of student support here to make sure that your experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Student Services is available for both Pearson Business School and Escape Studios students. They are responsible for providing administritive and pastoral support from the point of registration right up until graduation. They are based on the first floor of our campus and their desk is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Alternatively, they are avaliable through email. Timetable issues, illness and aditional learning support are just a few things, out of the list of many, that they can help you with.
Whilst you study with us, you will be assigned a personal tutor who you can go to regarding any academic or personal worries. All tutors, whether your personal tutor or a general tutor, have an open door policy which means you don't have to make an appointment to go and see them.
Here at Person College London, we have two onsite counsellors.
- They are avalible for both Escape Studios and Pearson Business School students.
- The Student Counsellors are here to help with any worries or concerns that impact your personal or academic life and the service is confidential and completely free.
- It is very easy to arrange; you can either contact Student Services who can refer you to one of our counsellors or you can refer yourself using the student portal/contacting them directly. Please note that there can be a waiting list for counselling appointments.
- They also have 'drop in' hours which you don't need an appointment for, and is great if you have a busy schedule.
The Pearson College Student Association (PCSA) is a group of 14 students all with different roles. They are a mix of Escape and Business students and help arrange, chairty events, sports teams and parties. As they are students, they are often around the college so you can speak to them whenever you need to and they can arrange peer mentoring sessions as well. This is where a second or third year student can help guide you through your first year.
Student Experience Team and Studio Assistants
The Student Experience Team is for both Escape and Business students but Studio Assistants are there specifically to help you at Escape. Studio Assistants are there to help make your time at Escape a little less stressful and to help you produce the best work possible, whilst the Student Experience Team often put on quizzes and competitions.

We are an affiliated member of Nightline Association which is a listening and emotional support service run by students for students. This service is avaliable at night by phone, email, face-to-face or online chat and student volunteers are fully trained before they can conduct the service.
Samaritans are also a great service to use if you feel like you are in a time of crisis. They are free to call and are avaliable 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can call them about any issues you are having and they will provide non-judgemental advice and support. On average, someone calls Samaritans every 6 seconds and they are there for you if you ever need them. Their number is 116 123.
Another useful service is CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). They are avaliable 5pm-Midnight, 365 days a year and you can call them or use their online chat feature. Anyone can call them in a time of crisis but their main aim is to help reduce sucicide in men, as this is the biggest killer for those under 45.
