It has been success after success recently at Escape Studios with Awards and Nominations left right and centre!

Here are some of the most recent recognitions and successes:

1. Student Film Wins International Award

Home Sweet Home, a film created by third year animation and visual effects students, took home the top prize from the recent British Animation Film Festival for this short film about sweets.

It was the first time that students from different disciplines have cross-collaborated on a project at Escape Studios, and boy did it pay off! What an achievement!

2. Jericho Shortlisted for Student BAFTA

Jericho, another student project, has been nominated and shortlisted for a student BAFTA against other students around the world. The top three films are called the 'finalists' and these teams get to travel to Los Angeles for the final awards ceremony!

Jericho is a film about a lonely robot who tries to build a friend.

3. Escape Studios places 4th in WhatUni Awards

Escape Studios placed 4th at their first ever WhatUni Awards ceremony. This is an event giving awards to Higher Education Institutions as voted for by students. It was such an amazing achievement to be entered and to receive fourth place! We hope to see you next year!

4. Escape Studios a Top 25 Animation School Globally

Escape Studios has also been recognised as a top 25 animation school in the world, top 10 in Europe and top 5 in the UK. This was decided by Animation Career Review, who just published their 2019 International Animation School Rankings.

Now in their 7th year, Animation Career Review considered 167 schools across the globe before finalising their rankings. Last year we ranked in the top 100 schools internationally, so we're delighted to have leap-frogged into the top 25.
