Being a student in the UK’s capital city means you’re spoilt for choice for things to do! So we asked some of our students what’s on their list for the top places to go:

1. Start your day with coffee from the Hoxton

Recommended by: Lola Rutter - 3rd year Business Management and Marketing student
Treat yourself before seminar and have a coffee from the Hoxton (just next door to our Midtown Campus). The friendly atmosphere is also a great place to do any last minute reading or coursework.

2. Break for lunch at the Chicken Shop

Recommended by: Emma Devlin - 1st year Degree Apprentice
There are so many options to choose from when it comes to lunch time. But our favourite is the hidden Chicken Shop 30 seconds away from campus. Either sit in, or get your food to take away (and enjoy their special lunch meal-deals on a Tuesday!).

3. Go shopping down Drury Lane

Recommended by: Oliver Latta - 3rd year Business Management and Entrepreneurship student
There is no shortage of funky vintage shops near our midtown campus. Take a trip to Drury Lane to grab some new additions to your wardrobe.

4. Have a look for some top discounts

Recommended by: Connie Arnold - 1st year Business Management student
Time Out London, National Rail, Groupon and Unidays are just a few of the best sites to find some amazing discounts on. Some of my favourites include 2 for 1 on the London Eye and 2 for 1 Sea Life!

5. Hit the gym after seminar

Recommended by: Chloe Jarman - 3rd year Business Management and Marketing student
London is certainly not short of gyms, but my top pick is Pure Gym in Covent Garden. From £24.99 a month, it’s close proximity to campus makes it a great place to take a break from studying.

6. Get a free haircut from the London College of Barbering

Recommended by: Felix Hull - 3rd Year Business Management and Finance student
Around the corner from us is the London School of Barbering. Book your place online for a free haircut at Covent Garden!

7. Visit the theatre

Recommended by: Megan Durrant - 3rd Year Business Management
Stay entertained and take a trip to the theatre! My top pick at the moment is School of Rock at The Gillian Lynne Theatre (formerly New London Theatre), Drury Lane.

8. No student life is complete without a Pub Crawl

Recommended by: Lola Rutter - 3rd year Business Management and Marketing student
Grab a £20 for 2 people + rail tickets voucher - visit National Rail for train times, fares and enquiries, discounted train tickets with railcard. Get your train ticket from Clapham Junction or Blackfriars for cheap fares.

9. Spend the evening at London’s Top Secret Comedy Club

Recommended by: Megan Ells, 2nd year Degree Apprentice
The Top Secret Comedy Club will never fail to make you giggle. Host to some of the best comedians in London, it’s one place you certainly must visit as a student.
